19MAR20 A Path Forward: Camp Loughridge’s Response to Coronavirus
As a ministry that seeks to serve the Lord and the greater good of His Creation, Camp Loughridge is staying up-to-date with local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations during the coronavirus pandemic. We will continue to serve the community in a way that prioritizes safety and health, while preparing the way for a return to normalcy.
We are currently suspending in-person tours and office visits. Our staff, however, is on site to answer questions about summer camp and rentals over the phone. We also have the capacity to conduct virtual facility tours over Skype, FaceTime, and Facebook Messenger. If you have an event coming up, we are excited to devise creative ways for you to explore the possibilities of Camp Loughridge!
Current bookings are being contacted to determine the best path forward regarding rescheduling. Summer camp registration remains open and we are preparing a slate of contingencies to responsibly meet the community need for childcare in the upcoming weeks and months.
We will continue to monitor changes in the directives from local, state, and federal leadership and adapt our response. As a ministry, we want to be a place of safety and refuge for the Tulsa community during these trying times. Bookmark this page and follow us at www.facebook.com/LoughridgeTulsa to stay up-to-date on facilities access, summer camp plans, and other important announcements.
In difficult times, let the Peace of Christ comfort your mind, heart, and soul as the Apostle Paul remind us, “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7, ESV)
Welcome to Camp Loughridge
Authentic Christian Camps, since 1919
Yes, we are 101 years old! In 1919 our Friendship Lodge was built as part of the original YWCA’s Camp Parthenia. Authentic Christian Camps launched generations of Tulsans to explore God’s natural creation and adventure through our woods and lakes. In 1959 we became Camp Loughridge, our Kirkland Chapel was soon built, bunk houses provided overnight experiences, and Weddings were celebrated.
Our Mission is simple: Instill the love and salvation of Jesus Christ in God’s natural creation by the power of the Holy Spirit!
