AdventureCamp

The fun at Camp Loughridge doesn’t end after your child’s tenth birthday. Since they are no longer in elementary school their activities are no longer elementary, THEY’RE AN ADVENTURE!!

A Whole New World!

AdventureCamp is an exciting and more mature program offering for campers age 11-13. AdventureCamp participants get their own set of facilities.  This means that AdventureCampers have: their own lodge, their own pool, their own lunch room, their own canoes and kayaks, their own activity buildings, their own Covered Sports Area, their own archery, and their own activity fields.  Parents, even drop-off and pick-up are separate from the SDC traffic circle.

How do we manage all this Adventure?

Are ratio of campers to counselors is usually 10 to 1.
Each Adventure group is led by gender appropriate male or female counselors (generally 2) who supervise all activities and are the front-line Christian leaders for these impressionable, fast-developing kids.
All of our counselors are experienced in the outdoors and knowledgeable in camping skills, and certified Red Cross CPR.
ALL water activities are under the watch of certified pool & lake lifeguards.
Lake activities require ALL campers to wear USCG approved floatation.
